The objective of the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management qualification is to enable learners’ development as managers within the tourism and hospitality industry, with a lifelong-learning orientation. Successful completion of this qualification will equip learners with the specialist skills and technical terminology to develop their management skills and to progress to further study or employment.
OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 5 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree.
The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Managementconsists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

The qualification is designed to be deliver over one academic year for full time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time and distance learning students and can be completed in a quarter year.

Self Paced Learning (Self Study Mode)
Student is given access our ELearning4u portal that is fully equipped with lecture notes, recorded lecture slides, video links, textbooks, tutorial questions and other academic tools as a guidance for students studying at their own pace.
Remote Learning (Online Support)
Students are guided by tutors from Mission Skills Academy via live lectures on Microsoft Teams portal.
Face to Face Learning (Campus Based)
Students are required to attend face to face lectures with tutors at Campus following a yearly Academic Calendar issued during enrolment.

Pass / Fail
All units within this qualifications are internally assessed by Mission Skills Academy and externally certified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion references, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
